About John Helstowski

John Helstowski is the Managing Partner of Cannon Legal PLLC and a highly respected attorney in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Growing up in a family dedicated to the law—with a father who is a retired judge and four uncles who are successful trial and litigation attorneys—John’s career path was clear from an early age.
With extensive experience in the legal industry, John spent his early career mastering diverse fields, including real estate, oil and gas, estates and trusts, finance, and bankruptcy. After moving back to Texas from California, he spent five years working for the nation’s largest, high-volume bankruptcy and consumer law firm. There, he learned every aspect of the business, honed his legal skills, and handled thousands of cases.
John understands firsthand the economic fracturing that has rocked the mortgage and employment industries, threatening the security of families and friends. His hard-earned respect among clients, peers, and superiors has allowed him to build a powerful network of connections with mortgage lenders and creditors. Quite simply, he knows who is threatening your family and how to stop them.

Robert Helstowski, Esq
Robert Helstowski, a Navy veteran and former judge, started his legal studies at The University of San Diego School of Law. After graduation, he accepted a commission in the Navy Judge Advocate General (JAG) Corps to gain broad legal experience quickly. He continued his legal career at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) in California and Hawaii. There he created, established, and monitored banking, lending, and credit programs. He was a federal judge handling asylum in Marin County, California.
Now as his career continues he uses his legal expertise to assist California and Hawaii consumers resolve issues with their creditors. He believes that with the proper guidance and help consumers can overcome financial hardships.
